Cooks use variety cereals in Norway. Traditional Norway dishes are porridges — semolina, oats, pearl barley. National delicacy is wheat porridge with raspberries — “fledegred”. They say that Fritof Nansen, a famous Norway explorer, so much liked Norway sausage stuffed with rice and raisins porridge, that it occupied special place in the hold of his ship “Frama”.
