The Most Harmful Diet
The group of dieticians has decided to find out, food traditions of what countries are the unhealthiest for a person, in particular, for his cardiovascular system. For this purpose scientists examined more than 16 thousand people from 52 countries, including almost 6 thousand people who recently had a heart attack.

During the research scientists make three basic types of diet: east, mediterranean and western. East diet contains a plenty of seafoods and rice, but there is a lot of various spices; it is sharp enough on taste, there are a lot of fried dishes. Mediterranean diet contains seafoods, olive oil, a plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit. Western diet contains a plenty of meat, eggs, breads, canned food and animal fats.

According results of the research the western diet named the reason of third of all heart attacks, and it does not depend of what country the patient live in. The main reasons are the high maintenance of salt and animal fats in this diet. Salt in large amount raises pressure, and fats promote corking of blood vessels by cholesterol.

How to Stop Ageing
The diet with only 10 percent of calories from fats, with low quantity of sugar, addition of fish oil in a diet and with fruit and vegetables is capable to stop ageing of an organism.

As the scientific analysis of California University has shown, such feed helps to increase levels of telomeraze enzyme which operates cellular ageing. Telomerazes restores and extends complexes of DNA fiber in the end of the chromosomes which directly mention age of cells. As the person grows old, their structural integrity weakens and cells start to die quickly, explain scientists.

Participants of experiment were offered to adhere formulated diet principles during three months. Physicians have noticed the increasing of telomeraze at 29 percent and the reduction of “bad” cholesterol. Cellular activities of telomeraze and ability to support the immune system also have increased. To achieve such results American doctors recommend reducing as much as possible levels of fats and sugar in food and on a regular basis there should be fruits, vegetables and fish.

Coffee Rescues Brains
Scientists from South Korea, Germany and Japan in experiments on rats have shown that the smell of fried coffee grains leads to changes in work of those genes which help to lower consequences of stress because of dream deprivation.

During the experiment scientists have found four groups of rats. First was the control group, second was the group completely deprived of dream, third has smell coffee, but those rats were not limited in dream, and rats of the fourth group smelled coffee and have been deprived dream.

Researchers have established, that 17 genes “work” differently at those rats, which smelled coffee. Thus in the group which did not sleep, activity of 13 rats differed from the rats with “sleeplessness” and with the coffee smell. In particular, the coffee smell promoted allocation of the fibers possessing antioxidant properties which protect nervous cells from the damages connected with stress.

Authors mark, that many researches, devoted to influence of various coffee components on an organism were spent earlier. But “this research is the first step in studying the influence of coffee grains smell on stress caused by shortage of dream”, — speaks Khan-juice So from the Seoul National University.

The Heaviest Pumpkin
In Ludvisbourg the competitions on cultivation of pumpkins have passed, a new record has been set up there. The winner from Baden-Wurtemberg has presented his 604 kilogram pumpkin and has not left any chances to contenders from all Germany. Only 410 kilogram pumpkin was brought by the winner of the last year. This year the record of the longest pumpkin has not been beaten. 2,85 meters is the length of the pumpkin-winner of the last year, and this year there was a pumpkin of the 2,51 meters length.

Fried Food Is Not Harmful for Stomach
Dutch researchers have justified cooking on the big fire — they approve, that substance acrylamide, which is formed in fried products, does not harm to a gastroenteric tract. Nevertheless, physicians warn against consumption of food stuffs fat, high-calorie and rich with carbohydrates food in large amount.

Since 1994 the international medical community qualified acrylamide as carcinogen, but experts approve, that these conclusions have been made as a result of wrong testing for animals, because they gave animals in 100 thousand times more chemical substance, than usually a person receives during a meal.

Doctors of the Maastricht University have considered influence of acrylamide among 120 thousand person. This chemical presents also in potato-free, cakes and coffee. More often people received harmful substance at consumption of coffee, confectionery products and fried dishes. Scientists have been drawn to the conclusion, that acrylamide as in products, as in meal prepared on a heat does not harm to intestines, stomach, pancreas and gullet. Chemists explain, that acrylamide is formed in products at more than 120ºС temperature, but then it is filtered and dissolved in water. However scientists suspect, that acrylamide can hormonally negatively influence the work of an organism.
