Scientists already for a long time sound alarm in occasion of women hobby with various diets, specifying, that in some cases similar hobbies can finish to an anorexia. Now it was found out, that it could not finish to an anorexia, but it is quite probable, that a woman will start to smoke.
Researchers of Florida University have informed about it. Results of thir analysis have shown, that women who take a great interest in an exhaustion of thier organism by means of every possible diets, the desire to start to smoke arises twice more often, than at women with a normal food allowance.
According to doctor Mildred Maldonado-Moliny, the interrelation between a diet and smoking has been much more strongly expressed at women, rather than at men. Having analysed data among eight thousand of schoolgirls, experts have found out, that restrictions in meal make them more vulnerable to tobacco. It is interesting, that this association has not been revealed among young men.

Cranberry Juice Helps Women

Cranberry juice helps women in preventing and treatment of urinary tracts infections. The influence mechanism is unknown yet.

In his last work Israeli apologist of vegetative medicine has proved efficiency of two glasses of cranberry juice in day in preventive maintenance of urinary tracts infections of women. In occasion of men the author recommends the same, but he does not confirm that it has the same useful.

Bad Meal — an Early Old Age

Badly eating, we approach the old age and aggravate illnesses. And, according to statistics, when we become older, we give less attention to nutrition. Especially this problem is actual for people of old age.
In connection with that in Europe there is an ageing of population, and each ten years the quantity of eighty-year-old is doubled, doctors of the most developed countries sound alarm. Bad feed detains recover of older persons, and frequently leads to their death. Especially it is appreciable in the environment of people with the small revenue. Absence of necessary nutrients conducts to weakening, and, hence, the necessity to address for the help, both doctors, and close people.

Who Chews Slowly, Eats Less

Scientists at last could prove, that the one who eats slowly, eats less and receives greater pleasures from food. Doctor Kathleen Melanson from University of Rhode Island (Kingstown, the USA) has decided to carry out research when has found out that there are no scientific data confirming a popular belief in advantage of slow chewing.
Kathleen Melanson and her colleagues have lead experiment in which 30 young women participated. Women ate macaroni with vegetable and cheese sauce, 4 hours before all of them had equally breakfast (400 calories).
One group of women was given out by big spoons and have asked to eat as soon as possible, not making pauses. Other group was given out by small spoons, have asked to make pauses, and each time to make 15-20 chewing movements.
Women who had dinner quickly, have eaten for 9 minutes on the average 646 calories. When them have asked to reduce rate, they have used only 579 calories for 29 minutes. Those who ate slowly, felt full directly after meal and hour later. Besides the food has seemed to them more tasty.
Scientists consider, that slow food absorption helps to grow thin or keep normal weight. By their calculations, the one who slowly eats 3 times a day, eats on 210 calories less, than the one who eats hasty.

Cranberry Can Prevent Occurrence of Tumours

Researchers from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey have come to conclusion, that the cranberry occupies one of the first places among the food stuffs possessing healing power.

During research it has appeared, that cranberry juice prevents infections of a bladder, because it does not give to bacteria to be kept on its walls. Cranberry juice contains proanthocyanidine, which prevents dental stone forming.
Now they invent the mixture on a cranberry basis for rinsing the mouth preventing paradontosis forming. Regular consumption of a cranberry kills in a food path of a bacterium which can initiate a ulcer or even a cancer of a stomach.
Preliminary researches also have shown, that the daily portion of cranberry juice reduces in blood a level of ” bad cholesterol » and raises a level of ” good cholesterol ».
Cranberry berries can slow down growth or even to prevent occurrence of cancer tumours. The substances extracted from a cranberry stop in experimental conditions duplication of breast cancer cells. Whether It will be possible to achieve similar result at patients while it is not known.
