Beer for the Pope

Pope Benedikt XVI is known for the love to beer: he prefers this drink even to a fine Italian wine from cellars of Vatican.
Having learned about tastes of the pontific, one of the high-ranking dignitaries recently has given to Pope an original gift. During the first visit to Rome archbishop Jorksky John Sentamu has presented to Benedikt XVI a bottle specially welded the true English ale.
The drink for the Pope named «Sacred Graal» has released its local Yorkshire beer fabric. It has habitual for a grade pale ale light brown color and tart taste. But the main advantage of “Sacred Graal» is a thin fruit aroma which has appeared owing to the natural extracts of fruit included in its structure and berries.

Food Allergy Meets Less Often, than It Seems to Parents

Parents often connect occurrence of a rash or a cold at small child with a food allergy, but, in many cases, the reason can be absolutely another.
Scientists from the Great Britain observed more than 900 children from a birth till 3 years. Only approximately at 5% of children analyses have confirmed hypersensitivity to foodstuff. Thus about third of parents considered allergy on any food at their child. They considered a rash, catarrh, a diarrhea, etc as displays of an allergy.
Hypersensitivity to foodstuff includes a food allergy (wrong reaction of immune system) and food intolerance which is not connected with immune system.
In research children more often reacted to peanut, eggs, wheat and milk. Nevertheless, almost 80% of children with hypersensitivity to milk overcome this problem by three years. The same concerns half of children with hypersensitivity to eggs.

Tea Lovers less Run the Risk of an Atherosclerosis

According to new research, the women drinking daily some cups of tea, to some extent protect themselves from the development of atherosclerotic plaques.
Scientists from National Institute of Medical Researches (France) have found out that at elderly women who drink three cups of tea in a day, the atherosclerosis of carotids arises less often, than at the women not drinking tea or drinking it in smaller quantities.
2 613 men and 3 984 women participated in research. Middle age of participants is 73 years. Data about atherosclerotic plaques in the carotids, received by means of ultrasound, have compared to data about quantity of cups of the tea drunk daily, and other habits.
Diet, factors of cardiovascular risk, age, place of residing and educational level was not influenced the connection between quantity of drunk tea and presence of plaques in carotids.
Authors of work signify that it was not possible to find out any connection between consumption of tea and an atherosclerosis of carotids at men.

Experts from the Chocolate British Academy give first place to elite chocolate from the Italian area — Tuscany for the third year one after another.
" Tuscan black ”, produced by the firm “Amadeus”, has won the main prize of the prestigious premium “Gold Bean ”, annually handed over Chocolate London Academy. “Amadeus” production already became its winner in 2005 and 2006.
This year else three chocolate products of “Amadeus”, including the most expensive line “Porcelaina” (white chocolate similar to porcelain) received gold medals of the Academy.
The price of a 450-gramme bar of this delicacy achieves 90 dollars. This is that case when the price defining the highest quality, matters.

Americans Drink Water Containing Medications

The research lead by Associated Press agency has shown, that the potable water delivered approximately for 41 million of Americans, contains set of pharmaceutical preparations, including antibiotics, sexual hormones, the soothing and anticonvulsive preparations anesthetizing, and also many other things, released only under the recipe of the doctor.
Certainly, concentration of these preparations in potable water is insignificant small, however scients are seriously disturbed by possible consequences of the long use let and insignificant dozes of medicines.
Researchers have tried to find out, how pharmaceutical preparations get in potable water. It has appeared, that the mechanism is following: people accept medicines, a part from them are acquired by an organism, and that was not acquired, removed by natural way. And accordingly gets in the water drain. Sewage, having passed through necessary clearing, again get in the rivers or lakes. Resources of potable water whence replenish.
Made clearing is not capable to remove from water all pharmaceutical preparations. Besides experts have installed, that addition in water of chlorine, standard procedure at water treating, on the contrary, strengthens toxicity of some medical products containing in water.
Many companies-suppliers of potable water have been compelled to recognize, that do not spend testing for presence in water of pharmaceutical means.
