On Friday October 16, the winner of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards drawing was Margarita Pischalnikova, working for Arkaim Publisher, Russia.
The Chateau Lafite-Rothschild 1953 is one of the two best vintages with the 1959. It is now mature and probably will keep for another 10 years. It is best to drink it now, when it is at the top. The bottle comes from a private family cellar in France where it did not move since being purchased in 1955. So the travel first to Frankfurt, next to the Russia is an event for the bottle.
The winning business card was drawn by Mrs. Catherine Baschet, Director of Development of Le Cordon Bleu. She was in Frankfurt to negotiate the foreign rights of books of the leading cookbook school in the world.
The very happy winner was filmed by China Food Television at the stand 5.0 B579.
