Make 2 deep slits along baguette. Slice cheese and ham. Stem and wedge tomatoes, salt and pepper. Fill baguette with cheese, tomato and ham slices.
Crush garlic, and mix with oil. Put the baguette on foil, pour with prepared garlic oil. Fold the foil up, and grill for 4 minutes on each side.
Slice the baguette when serving.
