Rinse prunes, coat with boiling water and set aside to swelling, pit and chop fine.
Coat beet with cold water and boil. Cool, peel and grate coarse.
Shred nuts, combine with beet and prunes, and dress with mayonnaise. If preferred, add chopped garlic to the salad.
Put the salad in a salad-bowl, and sprinkle with greens.
