1/2 cup wheat flour 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup powdered sugar 1/2 cup honey 4 eggs 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon ground clove 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger 2 tablespoons candied fruitss, , finely cut 2 tablespoons walnuts, hulled 3 tablespoons rum 2 tablespoons crushed crackerss | Directions: Make dough. Beat the egg yolks up with sugar, add honey, warmed on water bath, ground cloves, ground ginger and flour mixed with baking powder. Beat the egg whites up stiffly and add it to the dough together with finely cut candied fruits.
Put the dough in a greased and sprinkled with crushed crackers baking mold and bake in an oven for 50-60 minutes.
To make the icing, sieve the sugar powder, then add one tablespoon of hot water and rum. Grind it with a wooden spoon until the ising glitters.
When the cake is cool, take it out of the form. Coat it with a thin layer of the icing and sprinkle with finely cut hulled walnuts. |
