1 1/2 cup wheat flour 1/2 lb (200 g) butter 1cup sugar 1 tsp orange zest, grated 5 eggs 1 lb (500 g) assorted dry fruits 3 1/2 oz (100 g) candied fruitss, chopped 3 1.2 oz (100 g) cherries, tinned 1/2 tsp baking soda 1 tbsp powdered sugar | Directions: Mix butter with sugar and grated orange zest until homogeneous texture. Add eggs one by one, assorted dried fruit, finely cut candied peel, tinned cherry, soda and flour. Stir the mass. Put it into a buttered baking pan and bake in an oven at 320 oF (160 oC) for 1 hour. Take the pie out of the oven and cool it right in the baking pan.
Sprinkle with sugar powder before serving. |
