– Pound the egg with sugar, add the honey, cinnamon or cloves, mix well. Pour the flour with soda and quickly knead pastry
– Put the pastry on a buttered and floured sheet, even, sprinkle with the chopped nuts and bake for 15-20 minutes over 390-430oF (200-220oC). Cool the honey-cake, cut into squares or rectangles and put in a dish
– Halve the honey-cake, brush with the fruit butter or jam and ice with the fondant
