Rinse broccoli and break it into florets. Hull and crush garlic.
Sauté broccoli in 2 tablespoons of preheated to 320 °F (160 °C) oil for 5 minutes, then remove and drain.
Sauté garlic in the remaining oil, add 3 cups of water, salt, MSG and broccoli, and stir-fry until ready.
Serve with greens.
