Dice bread without crusts and soak in warm milk.
Whisk egg whites with salt into stiff foam.
Pound butter with sugar and lemon zest until fluffy. Mix in bread, milk, almonds and whisked egg whites. Add cherry and cinnamon.
Put the mixture into greased form and bake an hour at 428 °F (220 °С).
Before serving, sprinkle with almond flakes.
Garnish the casserole with cherry jelly.
