1 egg
1/4 lb rye or wheat bread
2 cups meat stock
2 tbsp butter
1 oz cheese
4 oz spring onion
salt
Directions:

Slice the bread, Put in saucepan in layers, alternating with grated cheese. Pour in simmering meat stock. Add chopped and sautéed onion, cover the pan with a lid and simmer for 10-15 minutes. Add whisked egg, stirring constantly and bring to a boil.
