
Romanian Cuisine
National Rumanian cuisine uses universal products — vegetables, corn, meat, fish. Corn is one of basic national foods, it goes for making rich national dish mamalyga, they often eat mamalyga instead of bread. The most popular main course is grated meat wrapped in grape leaves. Dairy products are widely spread such as cottage cheese, heated milk, divers national cheese. Various tchorbas (soups) are characteristic part of Rumanian meal. If cooking meat they do it mostly over open fire on wire racks.
