Kazakh cuisine
Many centuries made Kazakh people adherents of meat and dairy products. Connections with other nations enriched Kazakh cuisine with vegetables, fish and divers confectionary. But meat is still the king of Kazakh cuisine, being inevitable food of each Kazakh festive meal and indicator of wealth. Meat is traditionally boiled and served together with flat boiled paste sheets and with sorpa — thick meat bouillon served in pialas (bouillon cups). Kazakhs are noted for their national delicacies made of horse meat. Favorite drinks are tea and kumys (hare milk).
