Cuban cuisine

Cuban cuisine

The character of Cuban food is mostly resulted from Spanish influence and Adalusian traditions, the place where long time Arabs prevailed. All this established the tradition to eat much rice. It is interesting that one of the most popular Cuban dishes is called “Moros and Christianos”, that means “Moors and Christians”. There exists and expression in Cuba: “The Cuban who hadn’t eaten rice, seems to had not eaten anything at all”.
