Intellectual Work Makes the Glutton of the Person

People, who have intellectual work and the activity demanding the high intellectual activity, consume a lot of calories and get used to the unhealthy food allowance more quickly.
Canadian researchers from Lavalya University have examined dietary habits of people which work demands enhanced attention, intellectual concentration and good memory. After 45 minutes of work participants of the experiment were offered to have dinner in buffet. It has been counted up, that though each intellectual problem demands low expenses of the organism energy, however at the same time it provokes almost on 30 % or on 203 calories more consumption of food.
Besides the samples of the volunteers blood taken before, during and after their brainwork, have shown astable levels of insulin and glucose. Presumably such fluctuations can be provoked by the brain tension. Our body reacts on the imbalance of the important substances and tries to restore normal parameters of glucose. Glucose serves some kind of fuel for a brain, encouraging the person to use more products.

Dark Chocolate and Bilberry are Capable to Counteract with Diabetes and Occurrence of Superfluous Kgs

Dark chocolate and bilberry are not only useful to health. As results of the published research of scientists from Stockholm Institute and Erebru University show, these two products are capable to counteract with occurrence of diabetes and superfluous kgs.
Some chocolate grades have been offered to participants of the experiment lead by these medical centers. Unlike white and milk chocolate, the 85% dark chocolate practically has not affected a level of insulin and sugar in blood. The bilberry drink without sugar possessed the same positive action. Besides researchers have noted, that chocolate (depending on its grade) effected differently on representatives of a different sex. So the most insalubrious for men has appeared white chocolate, and milk chocolate — for women.
“It is very interesting result. We see that it is possible to recommend dark chocolate for people sick diabetes and people with excess weight. Processing of fats in liver of women and men occurs differently, this can explain the distinctions in perception of chocolate grades”, — Professor Kerstin Brismar speaks.

Ukrainian Culinary Specialists Have Baked the 360-kilogram Torte

On October, 4th in the city of Chernovtsy Ukrainian culinary specialists have baked the 360-kilogram torte. They have treated all visitors who are taken part in celebrating of the city day.
On manufacturing of the real culinary creation it took 80 kg of sugar, 50 kg of butter and flours and 1250 of eggs. Thus 300 kg of the delicacy consists of the biscuit and about 60 kg make sweet ornaments in the form of the most significant buildings and constructions of the city.

Low-Carbohydrate Diet Has Appeared the Most Effective

During 2 years Israeli scientists have lead comparative test of efficiency of popular diets for growing thin. Test was spent on 322 employees of a nuclear science centre in Dimon, who were suffering by excess weight.
During 2 years approximately equal groups grew thin by means of 3 diets: the diet with the low maintenance of fats (it is recommended by the American Heart Association), the Mediterranean diet and a diet with the low maintenance of carbohydrates — so called the Atkins diet. First two diets assumed the restriction of calories, and Atkins diet did not provide such restrictions. By results of research the diet with the low maintenance of carbohydrates has appeared the most effective: patients have grown thin for 5,6 kg on the average, on the second place is the Mediterranean diet — about 4 kg, on the third place is the diet with the low maintenance of fat – 3,5 kg. Besides a lot of metabolic parameters was better at the people who were followed the Atkins diet.

Classical Music for Sausage

The supermarket network in Germany has started to spend ultrasonic processing of sausage by classical music. As the owner of this supermarket network approves, it improves flavouring qualities of sausages whereas techno or rock have the negative effect on production. However, there is no any information about it on the product package.
One-two times a month 4 young musicians from East Giessen go on meat factory. With a view of hygiene they change their clothes into overalls and carefully cleanse tools. And the quartet plays for sausage products.
Under the influence of classical music process of sausages manufacturing should pass better, approves Wolfgang Gutberlet, the owner of the supermarkets network in Foulde. It can become a sensation. In the past it were already spent experiments on ultrasonic processing by music of vineyards in Germany and in other European countries. Nevertheless, at present there is no scientific acknowledgement of positive influence of music on products. Though it is known, that cows, for example, give more milk under the action of classics. It is owned to the strengthened development of hormones during sounding music.
