Scottish Cuisine

Scottish cuisine is remarkable for its meat and fish smoked delicacies, shortbreads, candied fruits and outstanding Scottish whisky. Many historic traditions are still exist in way of processing food, such as food prepared in pot. The most popular Scottish delicacy — Huggis – ship offals baked with barley and spices in ship or mutton belly. Another national traditional food is oatmeal, it goes for making porridge and desserts. Tea is favorite drink in Scotland, traditionally served with famous Scottish scones made of short pastry baked in a shape of a disk and then cut into wedges.
