American cuisine combined and assimilated multiple features of other national cuisines brought by emigrants, who formed main population of America today. Nevertheless, there are some foods that could be called national by right. One of them is turkey — a celebrity dish served on Thanksgiving Day. Americans adore barbecued food. Potato is widely spread in snacks (fried chips), casseroles and baked dishes. American is renowned for its rich in calories fast foods, various snacks, sandwiches, popcorn and cocktail drinks.
