
Tajik cuisine
Like in many cuisines of Middle Asia Tajik cuisine widely uses mutton and goat’s meat. Traditional dishes are made of rice and beans. Various flat unleavened breads are used as addition to many meals. Favorite Tajik dishes are pilav and manty (pelmeni fried in pork fat). Many main courses are half thick soups made of cut vegetables and meat. Popular drink is tea, both black and green.
